Choosing Teak, owned by Aurelio’s childhood friends, was a natural decision for this couple who envisioned a cool, fun, and relaxed wedding vibe. As Suzanne perfectly described, they wanted “a fun environment with great food and delicious wine,” and Teak Rooftop in Red Bank delivered exactly that, creating a memorable day surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Their choice of Teak Red Bank as their wedding venue spoke volumes about their desire for a unique and personal celebration. Moving away from traditional banquet halls, Suzanne and Aurelio opted for Teak’s rooftop setting, known for its chic ambiance and exceptional culinary offerings. This decision highlighted their priorities: creating an experience that was both sophisticated and comfortable for their guests. The rooftop location offered stunning views of Red Bank, adding an extra layer of charm to their special day.

One of the standout features of their wedding was the breathtaking floral design by Cassandra Shah Flowers & Events. Cassandra and her team transformed Teak Rooftop into a dreamlike space, complete with a stunning flower wall that served as a perfect photo backdrop and mesmerizing suspended floral centerpieces above each table. The floral arrangements perfectly complemented the modern and stylish setting of Teak, adding a touch of romantic elegance to the overall atmosphere. The use of soft, muted tones in the florals created a sophisticated and timeless look, enhancing the intimate feel of the celebration.

Family played a central role in Suzanne and Aurelio’s wedding, adding layers of heartfelt moments throughout the day. Suzanne’s daughter, Lily, was an adorable flower girl, and the emotional walk down the aisle, with Suzanne accompanied by both her father and son, Dylan, was particularly touching. A truly unique and heartwarming moment was their family first dance. Partway through Suzanne & Aurelio’s first dance, Lily and Dylan joined them, symbolizing the beautiful blending of their families. Suzanne & Aurelio’s Love Story: A Perfect Match Made in Red Bank

Suzanne and Aurelio’s journey began about four and a half years prior to their wedding day, in their local Red Bank bar and restaurant scene. Their initial encounters were casual, friendly greetings. However, about a year later, as fate would have it, both found themselves newly single and started noticing each other more. Suzanne recounted, “We started to run into each other more and more, and found that our personalities and love of food, wine, and travel were identical. We haven’t spent a day without each other ever since.” Their shared passions and compatible personalities quickly blossomed into a deep and lasting relationship.

What truly solidified their bond was Aurelio’s wonderful connection with Suzanne’s children. “He adores my kids, which makes me love him even more,” Suzanne shared. Aurelio, who had never been married nor had children, was, in Suzanne’s words, “my unicorn!” Her children, Dylan and Lily, aged 12 and almost 8 at the time of the wedding, were integral to their celebration, further emphasizing the importance of family in their union.

The proposal story is as charming as their relationship. While the wedding date at Teak was set beforehand, the proposal remained a surprise. During a trip to Aruba, Aurelio orchestrated a beautiful moment in their upgraded Presidential Suite at the Ritz Carlton. After a relaxing day, he proposed to Suzanne with a ring in front of Dylan and Lily. Suzanne remembers, “I have never been so happy! Lily still talks about it!” Having the children present at such a significant moment underscores the family-centric nature of their relationship and the wedding that followed at Teak Red Bank.

When asked about what they cherish most about each other, Aurelio lovingly mentioned, “How Suzanne takes care of all of us!” and Suzanne responded with, “How much Aurelio loves me, and how much he supports me and the kids.” These simple yet profound statements encapsulate the foundation of their relationship: love, support, and family.
