Welcome to the Bank Of Colorado Arena, a premier venue on the University of Northern Colorado campus, hosting a variety of exciting events. To ensure a positive and safe experience for all guests, we’ve established the following policies. Understanding these guidelines will help you make the most of your visit.
Attendee Code of Conduct
Our commitment is to provide a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for everyone. As a visitor to the Bank of Colorado Arena, you are expected to adhere to the following code of conduct:
- Respectful Treatment: Expect to be treated with courtesy and professionalism by all arena staff and event personnel. Reciprocally, we ask that you extend the same respect to our staff and fellow attendees.
- Behavior Standards: Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes the use of foul or abusive language, obscene gestures, or any actions that detract from the enjoyment of others.
- Responsible Alcohol Consumption: For adult guests who choose to consume alcoholic beverages, moderation is key. We encourage responsible drinking. Arena staff are trained to intervene promptly and safely if a guest appears impaired, intoxicated, or underage.
- Ticketed Seating: Please sit only in your assigned seat and be ready to present your ticket upon request to event staff.
- Prohibited Actions: Fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter restricted areas (like the competition area) will result in immediate ejection from the arena.
- Smoke-Free Campus: The University of Northern Colorado is a smoke-free campus. Smoking, vaping, and tobacco use are prohibited anywhere on university grounds, including the Bank of Colorado Arena.
- Appropriate Attire: Clothing or signs displaying obscene or indecent messages are not permitted.
- Compliance with Staff Requests: Please cooperate with requests from event staff regarding arena operations and emergency procedures.

Northern Colorado Events Staff are dedicated to upholding these expectations. If you witness any behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it to the nearest staff member, security personnel, or police representative.
Alcoholic Beverage Policy
To ensure a safe and controlled environment, the Bank of Colorado Arena strictly adheres to the following alcoholic beverage policy:
- No Outside Alcohol: Colorado State Law prohibits bringing alcoholic beverages into the Bank of Colorado Arena. Outside alcohol is not permitted within the venue.
- Entry Inspections: Bags, packages, coolers, and blankets will be inspected at all entrances to ensure compliance with our alcohol policy. Guests found with outside alcohol at the entrance will be asked to dispose of it or return it to their vehicle before entry.
- Refusal of Entry: Individuals who appear visibly impaired will be denied entry to the arena.
- Age Verification: All guests who appear to be 40 years of age or younger will be required to present valid photo identification to purchase alcoholic beverages.
- Legal Drinking Age: Colorado State Law mandates that individuals must be at least 21 years old to purchase, possess, and consume alcoholic beverages.
- Acceptable ID: A valid state-issued photo identification or driver’s license is required as proof of age for alcohol purchases.
- Service Refusal: Alcoholic beverages will not be sold to any person who is visibly impaired and perceived to be intoxicated.
Accessibility
Bank of Colorado Arena is committed to providing accessibility for all guests:
- Accessible Parking: Over 40 reserved parking spaces are available for vehicles displaying valid disability placards or license plates.
- Designated Drop-Off Area: Guests with disabilities may be dropped off at the main entrance of the Bank of Colorado Arena. Vehicles must then proceed immediately to available parking areas after drop-off.
- Wheelchair Seating: Designated wheelchair seating locations are available on the floor level of the arena.
Bag Check and Metal Detectors
For the safety and security of all attendees, bag checks and metal detector screenings are conducted at all entry points to the Bank of Colorado Arena. Your cooperation with this process is greatly appreciated.
Court Access
Access to the court and other restricted areas is strictly limited to authorized personnel who possess proper credentials. Unauthorized individuals attempting to access these areas will be removed from the facility and may be subject to ejection from the arena.

Looking for UNC Bears merchandise? The Fan Shop, operated by the UNC Bookstore, is conveniently located near section P inside the Bank of Colorado Arena. Stop by to gear up and show your team spirit!
Lost and Found
The University of Northern Colorado and UNC Athletics are not responsible for lost or found items within the Bank of Colorado Arena. However, we will make every effort to assist guests. During an event, please contact the nearest event staff member to report or inquire about lost items. For items lost at a previous event, please contact the Athletics Department at (970) 351-3646.
Missing Persons
If you become separated from your group, please notify the nearest event staff member immediately. If deemed necessary, an in-event announcement may be made to help reunite you with your party.
Prohibited Items
To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are prohibited inside the Bank of Colorado Arena:
- Alcoholic beverages (purchased outside the venue), marijuana, tobacco products, and any other illegal substances.
- Animals (except for trained service animals assisting individuals with disabilities).
- Artificial noisemakers (such as air horns, whistles, and drums).
- Bags larger than 12″x6″x12″.
- Coolers.
- Firearms or weapons of any kind.
- Fireworks, drones, and laser pointers.
- Outside food and beverages.
- Selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, and flag poles.
- Strollers (permitted on concourse but not in seating areas).
- Umbrellas.
- Wheel conveyance apparatus (including skateboards, bicycles, and scooters).
Re-Entry Policy
The Bank of Colorado Arena has a NO RE-ENTRY policy in effect for most events. Once you leave the arena, re-entry is generally prohibited. Exceptions may be made in emergency situations or on a case-by-case basis depending on the specific event. If re-entry is permitted, you will receive a hand stamp upon exit and must present a valid ticket stub for re-entry. Students who are granted re-entry will also need to show their Student ID along with a hand stamp.
Smoking Policy
As previously mentioned, the University of Northern Colorado campus is tobacco-free. This means that all tobacco use, smoking, and vaping are strictly prohibited everywhere on campus, including the Bank of Colorado Arena and its surrounding areas. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a healthy and clean environment for everyone.
