Barney Daly Appointed President of Madison County Community Bank

Community Bank has announced a significant leadership addition to its Central Region, welcoming Barney Daly as the new President of the Madison County Division. Marc Petro, Chief Executive Officer for Community Bank’s Central Region, expressed his enthusiasm for this appointment, highlighting Daly’s extensive background and community commitment.

Barney Daly brings over four decades of invaluable experience in the banking industry to his new role at Madison County Community Bank. His profound understanding of banking operations and strategic growth makes him exceptionally qualified to lead the division. As President, Daly will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Madison County division while spearheading its continued growth within the region.

Decades of Banking Expertise

Daly’s career is underpinned by a strong educational foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College. Furthering his professional development, Daly is also a graduate of prestigious banking programs, including The Graduate School of Banking at LSU and the University of Oklahoma Lending Graduate School. This robust academic and professional training equips him with a comprehensive perspective on the financial industry and the specific needs of community banking.

Deep Roots in the Madison County Community

Beyond his banking qualifications, Barney Daly is deeply embedded in the Madison County community. His long-standing commitment to local education is evident through his extensive involvement with Parent-Teacher Organizations (PTOs) at Madison Avenue Upper Elementary School, Madison Middle School, and Madison Central High School, where he served as Co-President for each. He is also a Past President of the Assisi Early Learning Center and contributed to the Madison County School District Bi-Racial Committee. Currently, Daly serves on the board of St. Anthony Catholic School, further demonstrating his dedication to educational advancement within Madison County. His commitment extends to higher education as well, evidenced by his appointments by Lt Governor Delbert Hosemann to the Post-Secondary Financial Assistance Board in December 2020 and again in July 2022.

Broad Community Engagement and Leadership

Daly’s community involvement is not limited to education. He has a long history of service across various sectors within Madison County and beyond. He has contributed his leadership and expertise to numerous boards, including New Stage Theatre, Mississippi Arthritis Foundation, National Kidney Foundation of MS, and the Farish Street YMCA. His past presidencies include prominent organizations such as the Jackson Club, Capital City Club, United Way of the Capital Area, and the Madison County Business League and Foundation. Recently, he co-chaired The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign for the Jackson Metro and served as the 2020-2021 Chair for the American Heart Association, showcasing his commitment to health and well-being in the community.

Currently, Daly’s board service includes Canopy Children’s Solutions (past Treasurer), MS Blood Services (Vice Chairman), St Catherine’s Village (Vice Chairman), Keath Killebrew Foundation, and Madison County Business League and Foundation (past Chairman). He is also the current chairman of the Living Services Board and the Madison County Community Trust, reinforcing his ongoing dedication to community development and support within Madison County.

Barney Daly is an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where he serves as a Eucharistic minister and small group leader, highlighting his personal values and community-oriented approach. He is married to Patti Daly and has two daughters, Morgan (Anthony) Farmer and Hannah Daly, and is a proud grandfather to Aubrey and Bodie. This deep personal connection to family and community enriches his professional role at Madison County Community Bank.
