Originally built in 1965, the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium stands as a prominent venue in Memphis, Tennessee. It proudly hosts the University of Memphis Tigers football team and the Memphis Showboats of the UFL. Beyond regular season play, the stadium is also the chosen ground for the annual Southern Heritage Classic and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, drawing crowds throughout the year for diverse events, from thrilling competitions to spectacular concerts. Enhancing the Stadium Experience
The initial phase of renovations at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will concentrate on upgrading the East Side suites. This crucial step involves relocating media and game day operations from the West Side, paving the way for more extensive changes. Phase Two marks the beginning of substantial renovations to the stadium’s West Side. These enhancements are designed to refine the stadium’s profile within Liberty Park, improving premium views and overall amenity experiences for fans. Spectators can anticipate new preferred seating options, including exclusive Founders’ Suites and Founders’ Loge Boxes, alongside additional private suites. A notable addition will be an interior “Party Plaza,” an inclusive space for all fans featuring upgraded hospitality choices.
Furthermore, Phase Two will address vital stadium infrastructure upgrades. The perimeter and halo of Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will be modernized to meet contemporary fan expectations, all while carefully preserving the historic aesthetic of this beloved venue. The facade and concourse will be brought up to date, and additional hospitality and fan amenity spaces are planned along the concourse level throughout the stadium perimeter. These improvements aim to ensure that the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium continues to offer a premier experience for all visitors for years to come.
